Dot the i’s and cross the t’s

So it’s pretty much a done deal. On Sunday we take the final walk through the house. Which is funny, because for me, it will be the first walk through the house. You may find it weird that I would push for the purchase of a property that I haven’t even been inside. But I can assure you all that I would never had been so sincere with this if I wasn’t certain that it would be a good move. And thus far, I’ve been happy with what I’ve discovered about the place.

It’s an 1898 Victorian, I knew that. What I didn’t know was that the original owner was Dr. Arthur A. Parisot, who was the 16th Mayor of Mount Clemens (1903-1904) and the 24th Mayor (1917-1918). It seems as though there was a new mayor every 2 years back in those days, like they just took turns being the mayor. It was also the long time home (from the 20s - the late 70s) of Fred Miller. Not to be confused with the local democrat congressman, this Fred Miller was one of the Miller Brothers, of the local Miller Brothers’ Creamery. Which is pretty cool too, the house has a lot of history to go with it’s character.

So all that’s left is Sunday’s final walk through the house and on Monday we dot our i’s and cross our t’s and it’s a done deal.

Sorry to those who I haven’t emailed back or said anything too all week. I’ve been down with something, and every day I wake up and say “I don’t want to go to work today”, but I do anyways. So off I go, feeling like crap with a sore throat and it’s been very hot lately, so that doesn’t help matters either. Ugh, I wanna go home.

In matter’s of life and death, there’s some new things happening. Last week Craig’s neighbor Bobby passed away of a heart attack. This morning his Uncle John went, and my old boss and neighbor Julie just dropped me an email asking me if I could work on July 5th and 6th because her father just died and she needs to be in St. Louis.  On the other side of the coin, there will now be 2 pregnant women around the shop, first was Heidi (which I so called) and as of yesterday, Traci (Matt’s wife) is also bearing child (which anybody could have called). Babies at work, death everywhere else. Funny how that works.

Good new music has been flowing through my veins lately.  I’ve really been getting into that old school sound that Any Winehouse brings, it’s funny how a jewish girl from North London can crank out sound like that, but it’s amazing.

Just as amazing is the new Wilco album titled “Sky Blue Sky”. It has some wonderful guitar parts in it and it may be their best album yet. Not sure yet, but it just may be better than Ghost or Yankee Hotel. I’ll need more time to be sure though.

2 new ones that I picked up but haven’t popped in yet are the new ones from Marilyn Manson (Eat Me, Drink Me) and the White Stripes (Icky Thump). Everyone says they’re both solid albums, I suppose I’ll have to judge for myself, but from what I’ve heard thus far, they seem to live up to it.

Resident Evil 4 for the Wii dropped today, and Kev let me know I got mine waiting up at the store. IGN gave it a 9.4, so it should be badass. It sucked hard on the gamecube and now they’re saying that the wii version is the best one out there. That’s awesome. Considering it’s only $30, no reason why anybody wouldn’t buy this game. And folks, if you know for a fact that you’re going to buy a game when it comes out, please just pre-order it. Those game store employee’s really need those numbers. No reason why you can’t help them out.

Anybody know what it’s like, to be “in like” with someone that you really can’t have? You feel so alive when you’re with that person. You want to hold their hand and smile every time you see them. You legitimately want to do things for them. You catch yourself thinking about them all the time. And you know that it’s more than infactuation or lust,  because all you want is to just be with them. And you can’t. For numerous reasons. Damn virgo girls. That’s my situation.

All for now, gotta go paint.
